Gema Espumante de Alvarinho - Bruto - Super Reserva 2019

Type of Wine:

Gema Sparkling Wine of Alvarinho - Brut - Super Reserve 2019 is produced from tear must, with very light pressing, and is characterized by its unique elegance, freshness, creaminess, and persistence. This wine embodies the rich tradition of the classic sparkling method, making it ideal for impressing on any occasion.

Vinification:

Carefully selected Alvarinho grapes, transported in 20 kg boxes, are whole pressed to extract a high-quality must. The must is clarified at 12ºC for 48 hours and fermented under controlled temperature for 12-15 days. After the initial fermentation, the wine spends 5 months on fine lees. The sparkling wine is then bottled and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, followed by a 24-month aging period. The process concludes with remuage and dégorgement.

Tasting Notes:

This sparkling wine presents fine and persistent bubbles, mineral aromas with hints of toast and biscuit, resulting from the prolonged aging in the bottle. It is full-bodied and dry (natural brut), with good acidity and a fruity finish where the characteristics of the grape variety are dominant.

Storage:

It is recommended to store the bottles in cardboard boxes, in a clean, airy, and cool environment, without direct exposure to sunlight.

Pairing Sugestions:

Served between 6 and 8ºC, Gema Sparkling Wine of Alvarinho, Brut Super Reserve 2019 is perfect as an aperitif or accompanying roasted and grilled meats, especially poultry, goat, lamb, and suckling pig.
